Shogran is a very beautiful and cold place located in Kaghan. Many tourist want to see the hilly area shogran and we want to see every one and visit to shogran.
Shogran is a hill station in beautiful northern Pakistan situated at an altitude of 2,362 meters above sea level on the green plateau of the Kagan Valley. Shogran is 22 miles from Balakot. It is located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Cheap hotels and motels are open. Telenor and Zong provide mobile phone services in the region. The natives are happy and calm. In summer, it is very busy. Large areas of lush green lawns attract many visitors. The view of Sri Pai and ‘Mosilla Peak’ from the lawn of the resort is spectacular, making it one of the best places to visit.
Weather in Shogran:
Summer and winter in Shogran are free for visitors (although only one hotel is open for accommodation in winter). The peak season is from June to August every year. The weather is always good during this period. At night, the temperature drops from 20 °C (68 °F) to 3 °C. Monsoon winds cause heavy rain and hail. Thunderstorms and heavy rains keep the air calm, but they also make it difficult for tourists to move around. Due to the cold weather it is necessary to wear suitable clothes at night. The valley is covered with snow throughout the winter and very heavy snowfall in winter season.
The climate of Shogran is relatively mild in summer and cold and snowy in winter. The best time to find Shogran and Sri is during summer (June-August), when the daytime temperature is around 20 degrees Celsius. Expect both sun and rain, which gives Siri Paye Meadows its vibrant green color, and remember to pack a blanket as it gets quite chilly at night.
It is also possible to visit Shogran in winter to witness the snowy scene, but supplies may be limited and colder temperatures will prevail. Do not expect running water and heat, travel at your own risk.

Shogran Valley Kaghan is a green plateau in the famous tourist destination of Pakistan, Shogran is situated at an altitude of 2,362 meters (7,749 ft) above sea level.
It is located just 34 km from Balakot, the first town of the Kaghan Valley. It is about 225 km from Islamabad. Shogun is primarily a tourist town so the main structures in the area are several hotels.
The locals are friendly and peaceful. It is accessible in summer. It attracts families and explorers. You should not miss a trip to Forest Rest House. Many people live and relax in its vast green lawns. Access may be restricted when senior officials are on leave or on retirement. The view from the rest house lawn to Sri Pai and ‘Mosilla Peak’ is truly beautiful.
Shogran is a beautiful plateau with spectacular views. But the road from Kiwai to Shogran is very dangerous. Shogun has great potential as a tourist destination if access is secured. Word is that the Jeep mafia does not allow any road improvements.

During this time the weather remains beautiful. Night temperatures range between 20 °C (68 °F) and 3 °C (37 °F). Lunar winds sometimes bring heavy rain and sometimes hail. Unpredictable thunderstorms and heavy rains make the environment cold and sometimes difficult for tourists to move around. Warm clothing is recommended at night due to low temperatures. Heavy snowfall keeps the valley covered throughout the winter season and very lovely weather.

How to reach Shogran
You have to go to Islamabad Mansehra Motorway and then take a right turn towards Balakot and drive from Balakot to KY, from here you can take a regular car but it is better to take a jeep to Shigar. Sugar takes 9 hours. km to return to altitude. From KY

Relax at Sri Pai Lake:
Sripay also has the Blue Lake which guarantees beautiful views and relaxing time.
Camp in the Meadows:
Instead of staying in a hotel or cottage in Shogran, you can stay under the stars in Sripay. It is best to arrange the tent in advance.
